Description: Chromatographically prepared from the euglobin fraction of pancreas by the method of Lewis et al. (1) then twice crystallized. The protein is stable 9-12 months when stored at 5 C and does not contain trypsin or chymotrypsin. 95percent pure by SDS-PAGE. Reconstitute with 0.05M Na Acetate 0.1M NaCl pH 5.0 to 1 mg/ml or desired concentration, aliquot and freeze remaining portion. Assay: 5-10 ug in 0.1M Tris pH 8.8 at 37 C containing 0.2mM Suc-(Al)3-pNA.
